Use of Forms for Interactive Graphics
Forms are means of providing text i/o to the reader of a web page. In
scientific communications, there can be many uses of forms, and a simple
example implementing two geothermometers is demonstrated here.

YAG-monazite or xenotime thermometry
The yttrium content of garnet in equilibrium with both xenotime (YPO4)
or monazite (LREEPO4) has been demonstrated to be a function of temperature
(Pyle and Spear, 2000, Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology;
Pyle et al., 2001, Journal of Petrology). The forms below premit
the reader to quickly calculate the temperature using either of these
two thermometers, without having to program the equations in the published
papers. Enter data and press calculate.
